Eagan’s First and Only Chess Academy

Here at the Eagan Chess Academy, we utilize various training techniques to provide an approachable and thorough training program for every level.

PEPE DOVAL

Pepe is a Spanish expert chess player and coach with 10+ years of experience competing and coaching at all levels.

He loves endgames and tactics, and he’s devoted to finding the simplest explanations for the most complex concepts.

JOANNA MILLER

Joanna is our children’s education specialist with 10+ years of experience in the field and 25+ years of experience playing chess.

She especially loves playing speed chess (bullet) and variants such as “CrazyHouse” and “King of the Hill”.

MICHAEL STOOPS

Michael is a Dutch chess expert with 5+ years of experience competing with masters of all levels.

Known for his complex tactical tricks, he loves inspiring his students to emulate his creative and aggressive style.
